PATRICK & PATSY REAMES

1968: Dr. Patrick Reames discovers a 4-acre lot in south Charlotte and falls in love with the hilly, wooded terrain and its spring-fed creek.
1968-2002: Patrick plants many of the glorious azaleas throughout the garden.
2002: Patrick and Patsy marry and proceed to renovate the lower yard to enhance their view.
2013: The lower and upper gardens are joined with a series of waterfalls and pools, creating a new hobby for Patrick: caring for the Koi who now swim in his backyard.
2018: Patsy adds a large deck and lighting, while also extending the garden and adding an entrance on Johnny Cake Lane.
2020: Two monumental sculptural works are added to the garden - a stunning labyrinth and a large flagstone hive, installed by MAC Landscape.
2021: MAC Landscape brings in large trees to enhance the perimeter of the Johnny Cake wing and continues the natural stackstone walls to improve both the Tottenham driveway entrance and the entrance on Johnny Cake Lane.
